What great memories I had while repainting this cow and these two birds that my sweet and caring father inlaw made, whom I truly miss. Kelly's brother, Brad, moved to Georigia and had some things left at his house in St. George that he wanted Kelly to have and these were included. I was excited to see these things that Kelly's dad, Merlyn, made cause we didn't have any of his awesome welding creations. While Kelly was in Colorado, the week before last, I wanted to surprise him by repainting his dad's cow and birds (years outdoors had done it's toll). It took me some time but what a blast I had. I took them down to our barn and plugged in Courtney's latest CD and let my memories flow. I could, almost, hear Merlyn telling me that spray paint is the way to go. I'm sure I didn't get my spray paint, here locally, as cheap as he did but, it worked just the same. OK, I cheated on the body of the cow and used the paint I had left over from painting our living room and kitchen. I really enjoyed working on the cow and birds, thanks Brad for letting Kelly have them. Now, if only I can figure out a way to weld that damn leg back on the cow. Stands up pretty good with the leg just leaning against it....... until the winds come. Again, great memories!!!!!!!
